Sparkes, Outreach and Education Coordinator, from the Human Rights Commission. “Our mission is to educate our community and establish equal opportunity for all persons within the County. Overall, our objective is to eliminate discrimination within the County by educating our community; and by using the authority bestowed upon our office to enforce our civil and human rights laws. The primary job of the Human Rights Commission Office is to resolve charges brought to the attention of the Commission by any Prince William County resident who believes their rights have been violated in the areas of Employment, Housing, Credit, Education, and Public Accommodation. “

July 21, 2022- Walter Hughes, Rotary Club of Rocky Mount, VA- “International Water Project”

Please join the Woodbridge Rotary Club on July 21, 2022, for a presentation from Walter Hughes with “International Water Project”. Over the past ten years, Walter and his teams of Rotary (and non-Rotary) volunteers have helped provide clean water to more than 300,000 people in Africa. He has successfully partnered with Rotary Clubs in 21 US states, 2 Canadian provinces, Switzerland, Ghana, and South Sudan, as well as other non-profit organizations and churches, to help eradicate Guinea Worm disease in Ghana.

Woodbridge Rotary Club 2022-2023 Installation Dinner

The Woodbridge Rotary Club celebrated its annual installation dinner on June 23rd at the Harbour Grille. The New 2022-2023 Board members are President Nathan Dankwa, Past President Paul Sargeant, President Elect Lynn Kerr, Secretary Paul Habina, Treasurer Charlene Finnegan, and Sgt at Arms George Kerr.

President Paul Sargeant gave a Year in Review thanking the members of the club who helped to make it a successful year. Membership, Youth Outreach, The Rise Against Hunger, and other projects supporting the community and club were highlighted. Over $14,000 was given back to the community by The Woodbridge Rotary Club which included $2000 to The Namibian Children’s Hostel and Shelter Box.

New President Nathan Dankwa was sworn in by one of our Past Presidents, Pamela Montgomery. President Dankwa has planned a very active year that will include new membership and a continued focus on our community, both local and global.
